UFC star Jon "Bones" Jones was arrested early Friday morning in Las Vegas on multiple charges.
According to ESPN's Marc Raimondi, a Las Vegas Metro Police spokesperson said Jones has been charged with battery domestic violence and injuring and tampering with a vehicle.
The 34-year-old has not fought for UFC since February 2020 and is preparing for a foray into the heavyweight division.
During his 13-year stint as a UFC fighter, Jones has been arrested on multiple occasions.
The most notable was in 2015 when he was arrested for his involvement in a hit-and-run crash in Albuquerque, New Mexico, that saw him leave the scene after crashing into a car driven by a pregnant woman.
Jones pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident and was sentenced to supervised probation.
Jones was also arrested last year in Albuquerque and charged with aggravated DWI and negligent use of a firearm.
In exchange for getting other charges dropped, Jones pleaded guilty to DWI. He served four days of house arrest and was sentenced to probation, therapy and community service.
The two-time UFC light heavyweight champion's last fight occurred early last year at UFC 247 and saw him beat Dominick Reyes by unanimous decision.
That win improved Jones' career MMA record to 26-1 with one no-contest and kept him undefeated since 2009.
Per Raimondi, Jones told ESPN on Thursday that he weighs 255 pounds and is looking to get up to 270 pounds before challenging the winner of the expected UFC heavyweight title fight between Francis Ngannou and Ciryl Gane.
